Ballarat and District Water Supply System Maintenance
We will be conducting maintenance on the Ballarat water supply system commencing March 2018 for approximately four weeks.
During this period, Central Highlands Water will temporarily change the current water treatment method used. Due to this alteration, you may experience a slight change in chlorine taste and/or odour. We would like to confirm that this is normal for the maintenance being undertaken and importantly, these changes present no risk to public health and water will continue to be safe to drink and use.
The program also involves procedural flushing of water mains in some areas. For safety and program management, you may also observe an expected increase in the presence of our maintenance crews.
The program will incorporate the Ballarat and District system which includes, Ballarat and its suburbs, Ballan, Bungaree, Buninyong, Cambrian Hill, Cardigan Village, Carngham, Corindhap, Creswick, Dereel, Enfield, Flagstaff Hill, Gordon, Haddon, Invermay, Linton, Magpie, Mt Egerton, Napoleons, Nintingbool, Pittong, Rokewood, Ross Creek, Rowsley, Scarsdale, Skipton, Smythes Creek, Smythesdale, Snake Valley, Yendon, Wallace, Warrenheip and Windermere.
We thank you for your ongoing support and welcome any feedback.
