Run For The Willow Athletics Carnival
In the early 1900’s Robert Crockett received willow tree cuttings from the United Kingdom however, only one managed to survive the heat.
He planted this delicate cutting at Shepherds Flat, which gave rise to thousands of willow trees and the now famous Crockett cricket bat.
Each year, Shepherds Flat hosts the Run For The Willow athletics carnival which attracts athletics entrants from across Australia.
Central Highlands Water are proud sponsors of the annual event which supports Camp Quality, donating 100% of profits from the day.
