Maryborough will see improvements to water quality and have greater drought resilience thanks to a new $5.6 million water treatment facility announced by the Andrews Labor Government.

Central Highlands Water (CHW) are investing $1.5 million in the Daylesford and Hepburn area to help provide reliable high quality water to local residents and businesses.

Central Highlands Water have a monitoring programme in place to manage a recent blue-green algae (BGA) bloom affecting the Yarrowee River between Whitehorse Road Sebastopol through to Buninyong-Mt Mercer Road Durham Lead.
