Central Highlands Water adopts new 24hr emergency hotline

Central Highlands Water now has a new water and sewerage faults and emergency 24hr hotline, 13water 139 2837 is an easy to remember hotline that will speed up response time to water and sewerage faults and emergencies; in many instances saving thousands of litres of water.

13water was first announced by Water Minister Mr John Thwaites in Melbourne and like many other water authorities across Victoria, it has now been adopted by Central Highlands Water.

Like other emergency numbers, 13water will provide a rapid response to all faults and emergencies. Adopting 13water is an important community initiative, helping Victoria minimise water loss and conserve our precious resource, water.

13water is designed to be a state-wide initiative so soon, where ever you are in Victoria you will be able to dial 13water and be connected to the nearest water authority responsible for fixing the fault.

Possible faults and emergencies in the distribution system can include: burst water mains, sewerage overflows, blocked sewer mains, man hole overflows, water leaks, damaged meters.
