Daylesford to Stage 2 Water restrictions:
Daylesford Water supply system decreased to Stage 2 water restrictions at 12 noon on Monday 17th December 2007
The Board of Central Highlands Water has met and following careful consideration of all relevant information decided to decrease the water restriction levels in the Daylesford water supply system to stage 2.
Storage levels in the Daylesford water supply system have recovered sufficiently to allow water restriction levels to be decreased from stage 3 to stage 2 and remain sustainable during the coming summer period.
Central Highlands Water Managing Director, Mr Neil Brennan says the Board are continuously reviewing water restriction levels to ensure the protection of our long term water resources.
“With the drought conditions being experienced throughout the region, the continuous monitoring of water supply systems and the implementation of water restriction levels ensures the sustainability of our precious resource,” said Mr Brennan.
