Inform future water services and the prices you pay

We are currently seeking our customers’ views on important long-term decisions about our services and how they should be priced.

Central Highlands Water invites customers to participate in the “Let’s Talk Water” Customer Forum on Saturday 1st April 2016.

As a valued customer, you will have the opportunity to actively participate and “workshop” various scenarios; you will be reimbursed $100 to cover your costs and lunch will be provided.

Conducted by an independent facilitator, feedback gathered from customers at the Forum will inform future services and prices for the period 2018-2023. Your input and recommendations will be presented to the Central Highlands Water (CHW) Board and will influence the 2018 Pricing Submission to our regulator, the Essential Services Commission.

This event follows a range of Let’s Talk Water community consultation activities that were conducted across the Central Highlands region from August to December 2016. During this time we surveyed and spoke to more than 1,000 customers about what is important to them.

With a diverse range of feedback, the following key themes and priorities have emerged from customers.

These themes will be further discussed and “workshopped” at the Forum:

1. Customer First

2. Safe clean drinking water that tastes great

3. A water supply you can rely upon

4. A safe and reliable wastewater service

5. Making best use of our resources

6. Increasing our customers’ value for money

Let’s Talk Water – Customer Forum

Date:               Saturday 1st April 2017

Time:               9.30am for 10am start – 2pm. Light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Location:         Ballarat central (details will be confirmed upon registration).

Format:           Customers will actively participate and “workshop” various scenarios.  

Each customer will be reimbursed $100 for the day to cover expenses and a light lunch will be provided. Please note places are limited so please register early.

Please also note you must be a customer of Central Highlands Water (ie. you currently receive a CHW bill) and are over 18 years of age. Only one person per household may attend.

·         Any dietary requirements

·         Your suburb of residence or business address.

Your location details will enable us to ensure that customers selected to participate adequately represent the 15 different water supply systems and geographic spread of CHW’s customer base.
