Right water

Central Highlands Water customers are being urged to choose the right water for the job by making greater use of rainwater, and stormwater, and recycled water for non-drinking purposes.

In fact, the secret to a green garden is right above us.

Rainwater is easy to capture from our roofs and can be used to water the garden, wash the car, flush the toilet and even wash our clothes.

By using the right water for the job, we can save our precious drinking water for just that – drinking.

Stopping rainwater from going straight down the drain is also great for the health of our waterways and bays because it reduces erosion, flooding and pollution.
