Central Highlands Water, in line with the State Government's water conservation and recycling targets, has been working closely with its industrial and commercial customers.  We have been providing assistance in identifying and implementing efficient water use and effective potable substitution.  We also have been working with business customers to reduce pollutants in trade waste to generate higher quality wastewater so that more can be recycled.

In July 2007, the State Government introduced the Water Management Action Plan (waterMAP) program.  A mandatory program introduced under the Permanent Water Saving Rules, applicable to commercial customers who use 10 million litres or more of potable water.  Customers that fall into this category must submit a waterMAP, report annually on the progress of the implementation of the waterMAP and water savings and have their waterMAP reviewed annually.

Water and resource efficiency can improve the financial performance of  businesses, help with meeting environmental requirements and community expectations as well as helping to improve corporate image.

For any information regarding waterMAP's or general business enquiries please contact Central Highlands Water.
