Central Highlands Water recognises that the new pricing structure approved in our five year water plan may present financial challenges for some of our customers.
In order to assist our customers who may experience financial hardship, Central Highlands Water has enhanced its customer assistance program in addition to the concessions and hardship programs announced by the State Government in the 2008-2009 Budget.
Assistance Programs
From July 1 2008, Central Highlands Water will offer the following options to our customers in need:
Individual case assessment
Revised flexible payment plan options
Confidential financial counselling from trained professionals
Prompt and streamlined application processes
Water saving advice and guidance on how to access Government assistance programs
Central Highlands Water has contracted Child and Family Services (Ballarat) and St Luke's Anglicare (Maryborough) to provide assistance to our customers who may be experiencing financial hardship.
Customers in need can be referred to these reputable organisations for confidential professional financial counselling.
